Employment Gains Forecasted in All Sectors 2011-2013; Higher Growth Rates in 2013 (PDF)
The Office of Employment and Population Statistics (EPS) within the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is forecasting a gain of 102,900 Nonfarm jobs, representing a growth rate of 4.3 percent, over the two projected years of 2012 and 2013. An over-the year gain of 47,100 jobs is projected in 2012 and 55,800 jobs in 2013. The rate of growth projected for Nonfarm employment is 2.0 percent in 2012 and 2.3 percent in 2013.

Healthcare Occupations Projected to Lead Growth in Arizona (PDF)
Although some occupational groups are expected to have gains, the forecast is for a net loss of about 36,500 jobs or -1.4% from 2009 through 2011. Between 2008 and 2018 the forecast average growth rate for all occupations in Arizona is 5.5% with a net gain of over 158,000 jobs. Some occupations are expected to grow faster than 5.5%, some slower, and some are expected to lose jobs.
