Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages

The QCEW program provides a count of wage and salary employment. It is not as current as CES. Data for a particular quarter is released during the seventh month after the end of that quarter.

Customized queries can be run against our database using a single-screen query tool. Updated MAY-2-2013 with revised first and second quarter 2012 data and initial third quarter 2012 data. Starting with the data for 2011 the program has been using NAICS 2012.

Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics

Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) is an innovative state/federal partnership between the Census Bureau and states. LEHD uses modern statistical and computing techniques to combine federal and state administrative data on employers and employees with core Census Bureau censuses and surveys while protecting the confidentiality of people and firms that provide the data.
